This is a site I did for Pam's friend Beth as a Christmas present. She just wanted something simple and blue.

Here's a real basic design using just colored backgrounds. I like the top and bottom borders and their effect visually separating each post. One of the design challenges for me is finding an interesting and consistent way to give visual clues between posts and dates. On this site, I tried a new float containing the author and date of the post and floated it insode the actual post. All the post text flows around the float element.
